Cirque du Soleil - Dancing
June 16th 2006 02:46
Trina posted a delightful heads-up to the Cirque du Soleil show that will be coming to Australia later this year, and the Orble bloggers have been all over it.
Cirque du Soleil is a Montreal-based acrobatics troupe that puts together fantastic stage performances with insane stunts and unbelievable costumes, all under a compelling sountrack.
I've had the good fortune of seeing a Cirque du Soleil show in Montreal, but I was absent-minded and forgot my glasses. Thus, most of it was a blur. A very compelling and rousing blur.
Trina's been good enough to post some YouTube videos on her post, so if you're thinking 'Who wants to see that crap?', watch it for yourself and see, punk.
Trina sez:
"What I love about the Cirque Du Soleil series is that each one takes you on a magical journey full of strange and random creatures, the bold costumes and quirky characters along with their superhuman feats make you feel like you are lost somewhere between paradise and hell."
After watching Cirque du Soleil, I tend to feel pretty agile myself, and even set myself up for a couple of clumsy cartwheels. Knocking over stuff, I quickly realize that I should stick to my day job. Which is sitting around here, talking about stuff.
