Charles reminds us that Earth Hour is coming to Sydney on March 31st.
What is Earth Hour?
Well, for an hour, starting at 7:30, turn off all your lights and any appliances. Try to be electricity free for one hour. Try it!
Of course, it's going to be tough... The V Music Festival rips it open on the 31st, and the Waratahs will be playing at home. You can imagine that the electricity grid is going to make groans of stress and discomfort at 7:30.
What other options do you have?
Try sitting in the dark in your local park, cross-legged and eyes closed. Then when someone approaches you, jump up and spin around and say 'At last we will have our revenge!'
Er...
The easiest thing to do would be to have a late night picnic down at the beach. If you pick a Harbour beach (east of the Bridge), you'll get the glow from the city, and won't need any lighting. However, you never know what kind of freaky stuff goes on at the beach at night. If you see me there, and I don't have any pants on, don't come over and say 'Hi!'... I'm, uh, looking for something.

Of course if by 7:30 you mean 7:30am I will be more than happy to comply, heck, I'll comply from 7:30am to 12:30pm as I would be asleep during that time

Not Sure on Interstaters though... I think the organisers (and Charles' Earth Hour post), said something about synchronising your lights to 7:30pm (EST) Sydney Time.
