The Bump Collection
The Bump Collection
Today's Post of the Day is a little belated.

After all, this isn't a post from TODAY, but from some time last week.

And it's not one, but two posts, from Sisi's fantastic Style Space.

Her first notable post was an excellent guide to choosing a style of handbag.

Sisi knows her bags... I would have lumped all women's bags into a foggy group called 'Purses'. It's a sack that holds money and makeup and smoke grenades, if needed.

The 'Bag' post is a great read, even for someone like me, who has no interest at all in fashion. Sisi has terrific photos of each style, accompanied with interesting descriptions. For example:

"Similar to pochettes, these handy and delightful bags may or may not come with a handle.

As well as being discreet and suitable for many occasions, these bags are usually the most affordable in a collection (high end pieces are still costly, of course, but less so than the bigger, more ostentatious bags). I especially love vintage clutches in luxurious textiles"

I think I'm a Hobo-type of man. Yes, a Hobo would go good with my stilettos and backless dress. *shudder*

Sisi's followup post to the 'Bag' post is the phenomenal 'Boots with Mini Shorts'.

She has shown us that, yes, you can wear boots with a mini skirts and not look like Paris Hilton turning tricks in the Bronx. Thank you, Sisi!

It's true - it's far more informative than it is instructive, and by that I mean Sisi seems to be opening your eyes rather than blinkering them to current fashions!

Speaking of modern trends, Cibby have you seen the latest two posts on World Art? It's quality commentary t'be sure t'be sure. (there's nothing Irish about it though)

Thanks heaps amy, that's such a relief! I'm always worried that my posts come across as attempts to impose rules/trends on everyone but really I'm all for individual expression...I try not to think of anything in fashion as wrong, but rather 'unique'

Amy, thanks for the heads up... that is a great post!

Sisi, just keep pumping them out. And keep making them look pretty!
