Single Words - Philosophy
August 24th 2006 19:59
I dunno 'bout you, but I'm getting into Adrian's Philosophy Blog - every post is a whirlwind of references and ideas.
At the end of his 'Single Words' post:
"In Gibson's "Hinterlands", we send astronauts into some hell dimension, and they come back disfigured, deranged, suicidal, but they bear with them little scraps -- the cure for cancer engraved on a ring. And so we keep sending them."
What?
That sounds wild! A Hell dimension? Insanity and cures for cancer?
Sounds like a great plot for a movie - give it time...
