Melissa at FunFacts always has something interesting to share... today, she found an interesting story about South Korea.
It appears that the government of South Korea is trying to encourage South Korean men to stop going to brothels. Like many other Asian countries, Korean men visit brothels as a way of promoting friendship and trust... during my time in China, I was encouraged to pay for sex often, and Chinese men struggled with my refusal.
The Korean government is giving free movie tickets to men who take a pledge not to go buckwild in houses of prostitution.
Will it work? I dunno... Korean men are aghast at the idea that the world will have the impression that South Korean men visit brothels. In other words, they'd like to keep going, but not let anyone find out. Ha!

I guess they assumed that I was going to brothels myself, just not with them, which could be a little insulting.
Deorre, you are right... I don't think prostitution will ever be wiped out.

I can speak from personal experience, go, visit, look at the mountains and stay with you tour guide. Do not go far from Seoul. My man and I were in danger of being shot...But then they could have just continued to starve us to death.
