The Fugitive looks like me
February 26th 2007 01:44
Norm sent me a message saying that I 'might like' a picture he had posted on his 'Arses and Elbows' blog.
David noticed the similarities, and called me out of my little box.
It's an image of a painting called The Fugitive, by Brooke Waldvogel.
The painting has more than a passing resemblance to me. It could almost be a photograph, if the camera used had tiny men inside, painting on a canvas from the image obscura, like on the Flintstones.
The strangest part about the painting is that it depicts me in a moment of sheer terror or undying torment. Lately, I've been torment-free which suggests that this painting depicts the future.
What could the future hold for me? Luckily, there are no cheeky American marines in the background, so I think it's safe to say I won't be hanging out in Guantanamo Bay.
Also, notice the rich red colour of my tongue. Looks delicious, doesn't it?
If Norm's unusual post interests you, it's worth checking out his big blog, Equal and Opposite, which posts some interesting stream-of-consciousness type street poetry. Like so:
Honey, money makes a funny day sunny, and makes a cunny runny for the dunny. Beautiful women love a man’s pocket to be bursting at the seams. They’ll show a lot of nerve just to get their grubby manual manipulators on your hard earned. I’d step over my own dead body to keep my stash of cash a cache.
Hit it and quit.

I won't forget this plug, it's just what I need.........I won't forget it though....what you've done....what is it again?........ that painting is the first piece that the artist Brooke Waldvogel ever sold...it went for a lazy....I forget...not much....since that time she's sold numerous lino prints....she excels at printing and also does soft sculptures.....life drawing.......thanks for the plug, I'm sure some would say that what I really need is a bar of soap.....Norm

Just a little tip on life ...
Be very careful of Norm's blatant solicitation of votes ... using Computer Art ... I find it quite transparent myself ...
